Boarding
  • Our boys stay at 620 Pet Resort in Gold rooms, which have windows, beds, and a TV. I prefer this kennel to others because the boys are in a separate air-conditioned room and not in a run-type kennel with a lot of barking dogs. The yard out back is large and grassy, and connected to the building so the boys are never presented with the opportunity to escape. When we were in Italy a few years ago, I sent an email asking how the boys were doing and the staff put them in a platinum room so we could see them on the Internet.
  • Another great place to stay is the Collie Cottage in Manor, TX, which is off the tollway and convenient to the airport. The owners are completely devoted to dogs, so they receive quality care and attention.

Vets
  • Dr. Van Winkle at the Barton Creek Animal Clinic is an absolute angel. She has prescribed herbs to help with Woody's liver and Shane's anxiety. The two times that Shane hurt himself on the agility field, she was able to tell me exactly what was hurting.
  • The boys other routine vet things are handled at LakeLine Animal Care because it's close to home.

Grooming
  • I had the most wonderful groomer who used to come to the house, but she sadly quit the business. I now take the boys to MudPuppies.
